Stars in the Garden brings together three beautiful Smith Street Design's embroidery patterns—Garden Walk, Round About Stars, and Home Sweet Home—into one stunning quilt. The finished quilt measures 90" square, but you can easily enlarge it to a king size by adding a wider border, just as we did for our sample.
This quilt sparkles with 34 carefully curated Tilda fabrics, all pre-selected for you. Our step-by-step, clearly printed instructions make it simple to know exactly where each fabric belongs.
Each month, you’ll enjoy creating a mix of embroidered and pieced blocks, blending artistry and craftsmanship into a quilt you’ll treasure for years to come. The embroidered blocks require a minimum embroidery hoop of 5" x 7". The designs are available in all machine formats.
The block of the month unfolds over ten months.
- Month 1: Receive two of the embroidery collections that you will use for the entire quilt. You will receive the third collection with month four's fabric.
- Months 1–9: Each month, you'll receive printed instructions so you know which blocks you are making that month. You will also receive all fabric needed.
- Month 10: When you come in this month, you will select your border/binding fabric. The block of the month includes 2 3/4 yard of fabric. This is enough to make the 90" x 90" quilt. If you would like a larger quilt you can purchase additional fabric at this time for a larger border.
The sign up fee is $140 and the monthly fee is $30. There is no charge for the first month's block and it will be available for pickup on November 1. Additional blocks will be available for pickup on the first of each month over the course of the ten months.
